Studio Daan Roosegaarde wins INDEX Award!

Congratulations to Studio Daan Roosegaarde for winning one of the prestigious INDEX Awards, the world’s biggest design prize for sustainable solutions to global challenges! Roosegaarde received the award in the the Community Category as well as the People’s Choice Award on CNN.com for his project Smart Highway, an interactive and sustainable road, developed in collaboration with Heijmans Infrastructure, that includes a five-step plan for modernizing European roadways. With the award comes a €100,000 prize award to implement Smart Highway, a whole new road experience to be realized already by the second half of 2013.
