About iets anders / something else

Iets Anders / something else is a translation of a selection of Dutch poems by two living award-winning poets of the Netherlands Ingmar Heytze and Saskia Stehouwer into English by two American poets Joel Thomas Katz and Robert Perry with their own special approach to collaboration. The translations are accompanied by essays, each written by Katz and Perry, about their experience of language and the translation of poetry, along with what they learned about Dutch art and culture through translating the extraordinary poems of Heytze and Stehouwer. Perry considers the book to be an ideal project for his imprint Dutch Poet Press with the opportunity to bring together his interest in art, design, and poetry, and the Netherlands.

About Dutch Poet Press

DUTCH POET PRESS is a celebration of poetry and art in print and pixels — books of many kinds created to sing for the maker and author and reader alike. With expert partners in the book arts, I offer design and publishing services in which we explore the fusion of word and image, the visual and verbal in the book’s content and design.
