The Public House of Art

 Jenny Boot

Public House of Art clearly states that it is not an art gallery. Instead, they have the following statement: "We believe art is for all. To adorn the walls of castles and bedsits. To disrupt not bankrupt. To move, to shock, to offend or go fabulously with your sofa. We have bi-annual themed, eclectic shows that are open to all. We sell photographs in limited editions and unique one-off sculptures and paintings, verified by us and signed by the artist. We believe in housing art that is affordable yet highly collectible. That is why our art can go up in value and status. We have four price categories, House, Villa, Mansion and Castle, House = bottom of the market. Castle = top of the market. Find something to love, to covet, to own, to collect, to carry home and put in the living room."

Villa Del Art Galleries

Corvengi Mikaelian

Bert van Zetten, Nemo Jantzen and Marcel and Jutta Huisman founded Villa del Arte Galleries in Barcelona in 1999. Their combined commitment, and passion for art, together with a unique approach and willingness to exhibit some lesser-known artists have contributed to an ever-changing contemporary collection of a consistently high standard.

Over time Villa del Arte has developed into one of Catalonia’s leading contemporary art galleries. The gallery represents over 30 national and international, established and emerging painters, photographers, and sculptors. In addition, in 2014 we opened a new gallery in Amsterdam, which has provided Villa del Arte with greater capabilities to undertake exhibition projects. With this new space, our international presence in the art scene has grown noticeably providing new opportunities and projects that we are already working on.

Simons Gallery seeks to promote and support the relationship between the Latin American art tradition of yesteryear and the international contemporary artists of today. Simons Gallery is home to an inspired mix of artists of all generations who strive to create exceptional art for its own sake and at times as a vehicle for change and social activism, from image to action. Simons Gallery artists — through their work — seek to inspire global awareness and instill a spirit of engagement and collaboration throughout the world, homing in on salient issues and themes that we as global citizens face.
