From December 8 through December 10, Urban Art Festival Amsterdam will be present at Basel House. The festival will present several Dutch street art artists during Miami Art Week 2017, who will be making several mural paintings.
Urban Art Festival Amsterdam will also be featured in the "Paint Club Battle" at the Rollingstone Magazine celebration.
Basel House Mural Festival is a three-day, first-of-its-kind mural festival based around the legendary walls of the iconic RC Cola Plant in Miami’s Wynwood Art District during Miami Art Week 2017. Throughout the festival, invited local and international artists will transform an often-overlooked section of the neighborhood into an open-air art museum. Over the course of four days, there will be more than 50 mural projects and over 80 top street artists from across the globe painting large murals across six city blocks in the Wynwood Art District, including a digital arts and VR playground that will bring art to life. The free block party will offer live painting, unique art installations, live music, late-night DJs, artists, a vendor market and food trucks.
• Friday, December 8, (6 p.m. to 2 a.m.): UNFRAMED presents Sub Chroma. This mixed media and lighting exhibit with musical lineup will be headlined by Hot Creations’ Lee Foss supported by Drama Duo, TrqpiTeca, Miami’s DJ Laz and Statik Selectah, who will release his latest project at Basel House.
• Saturday, December 9, (6 p.m. to 2 a.m.): UNFRAMED presents Rolling Stone Live Miami hosted by 50 Cent. Celebrating Rolling Stone’s 50th anniversary with A-Trak with Chromeo’s Dave-1 as The Brothers Macklovitch, OVO Sound’s Majid Jordan (90 Minute DJ Set), Trqpiteca, Bread Doe and Ezikel.
• Sunday, December 10, (5 p.m. to 10 p.m.): UNFRAMED presents the CHILLIN’ BASEL CLOSING PARTY. This Caribbean block party will be hosted by Wright Image x The KGN with Silent Addy and it will feature special guests in the Reggae, Dancehall, Soca genre.
Urban Art Now and R.U.A. join forces to present the Urban Art Festival 2017. Urban Art Now is an Amsterdam based organization and platform of artists and experts on urban and street art. It has its roots in the street art subculture of Europe. R.U.A. is an organization and platform of curators and artists also based in Amsterdam that has its roots in community muralism projects in the Brazilian favelas. Both organizations work locally and internationally.
Urban Art NOW is an Amsterdam based non-profit organization for Street Art and Graffiti events, festivals and exhibitions. besides the yearly Urban Art Festival, UAN organizes big mural paintings, the Urban Art Academy, Street Art Markets and pop-up events between Amsterdam, Berlin and New York City.
R.U.A. - Reflexo on Urban Art is an initiative of passionate people who believe in the philosophy and share similar ideas. Although the organization is based in the Netherlands, the team that makes R.U.A. possible is an organic junction of mostly Dutch and Brazilian professions of different areas living and working in Brazil, the Netherlands and around the world. We are always developing ideas and new plans which lead to massive realizations and beautiful cooperations.
Basel House is the place during Miami Art Basel Week where street art and eclectic music meet. For the 5th Edition of Basel House we present Wynwood’s first official Mural Festival. There will be 40+ large scale mural projects by top street artists from around the globe painting live across 6 city blocks in Miami’s Wynwood Art District based at the iconic RC Cola Plant.
