Art Miami, the preeminent producer of leading international contemporary and modern art fairs, presents the third edition of Art New York and the second edition of CONTEXT New York. The two highly-anticipated events will showcase artwork from more than 150 galleries representing nearly 1,200 artists from 50 countries. The sister art fairs will take place from May 3-7 at Pier 94, effectively launching New York Art Week, the pinnacle of New York’s art and cultural season.
Art New York provides a fresh alternative for acquiring important, never-before exhibited works from both primary and secondary markets. The fair welcomes both experienced and new art collectors who are looking to experience a carefully-curated, rich-in-content presentation of the best in the global contemporary art market.
Art Miami also presents the second annual CONTEXT New York fair, dedicated to the development and reinforcement of emerging and mid-career artists. Located alongside Art New York, the open atmosphere at CONTEXT New York is designed to generate meaningful dialogue between artists, galleries and collectors while providing the ultimate platform to show cutting-edge talent from leading galleries around the world.
Art New York and CONTEXT New York, adjacent to each other at Pier 94, begin with an elegant, invitation-only VIP Preview event on May 3. The special preview offers collectors, art advisors, curators, and media the opportunity to examine and acquire the finest works available in the market before the fairs open to the public that evening and continuing through Sunday, May 7. The combined exhibition space of Art New York and CONTEXT New York will cover more than 170,000 square feet, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Hudson River.
